Non-Prescription Medicines

Guidance from NHS England has been published recently entitled “Items which should not be routinely prescribed in primary care; Guidance for Clinical Commissioning Groups” which makes recommendations about some preparations that your doctor should no longer provide on NHS prescription.

Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group has adopted this National Guidance. Some preparations that are used for bathing or washing will no longer be available on NHS prescription (e.g. QV Gentle Wash, Dermol 500.
